Cathedral of Saint Augustine in Kalamazoo

St. Augustine Cathedral is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and is thus the seat of the Bishop of the Diocese of Kalamazoo.

The church was dedicated in December 1951. In 1971, the church became the Cathedral for the newly formed Diocese of Kalamazoo. The entire St. Augustine campus includes an activities center, named the Fr. Crowley Cathedral Center, the St. Augustine Elementary School, and the Cathedral. The current organ, recently renovated, has 33 stops and 41 ranks of pipes. Originally the interior was entirely stone, but a tornado some years ago severely damaged it, resulting in the present plastered interior.
