Bishop's Tachbrook

Bishop's Tachbrook

Bishop's Tachbrook is a village and civil parish in the Warwick district of Warwickshire, England, about three miles south of Warwick and Leamington Spa. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 2,514. Many of the buildings in the village are of traditional half-timbered design.

The village is ideal for homebuyers wanting to avoid flooding as its location, so far, has kept it out of reach of the floodwater, although when there is flooding traffic out of the village becomes especially heavy.

The village has a large sense of community with a successful church and Sports and Social Club. The village has a strong sense of self sufficiency with an active Parish Council, village primary school and a few small retail premises including a hairdresser's and village stores.

The "Meadow" is a field located to the south-east of the village and is accompanied by a Sports and Social club and also an Astro-Turf available for hire to the public. The village, as said before, has a decent community and The Church fetes are always held on the Meadow because it offers ample space and the Bar always offers a decent drink.

There is also a GastroPub which is a great Steak House which has recently been decorated. Avoid altogether if you are vegetarian - there is nothing enjoyable for you here, on a menu of over thirty eight items there is just a six pounds cheese sandwich.
