Vic Thrill

Vic Thrill

Vic Thrill is the stage name for Billy Campion, former lead singer for The Bogmen, and his 4 piece rock band. Their album, "CE-5" was released in 2003. In October 2006, Vic Thrill's album, "Circus of Enlightenment" with guitarist Saturn Missile (former guitarist for Garden Variety) was released through iTunes.

Vic Thrill has opened for bands like Devo and Iggy & The Stooges, performed at the Joe Strummer memorial show at New York's Irving Plaza just after his death, and played at Randall's Island Amsterjam with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Peaches, and Snoop Dogg. Outside of the US, Vic Thrill has traveled frequently to Europe, with a large followings in Italy, Ireland and the UK, and heavy radio play on Scotland's RADIO 1, where they were voted among Best Shows of 2004 for their live performance and interview.

The band was referred to on NPR's "This American Life" as a "thrift shop version of Andy Warhol's "Factory", was located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn from 1997-2004 right at the foot of the Williamsburg Bridge. The think tank-multimedia production facility-clubhouse is now the subject of a book and a film. The book was written by Vic Thrill and the screenplay by former SNL writer Tina Fey. SNL creator Lorne Michaels is producing the film along with John Goldwyn. Sacha Baron Cohen is slated to star. The film is in pre-production for a 2009 release.

Remixes of the band have been done by former band member Aure Dextre and fellow Circus Clone Records recording artist Poingly.
