In January 2006 he signed a contract with the NFL's Green Bay Packers. He is only the third
Saskatchewan native to make it to the NFL (the other two beingArnie Weinmeister andRueben Mayes ).During training camp in 2006 he found out his father, Bob, was diagnosed with terminal cancer and he persevered through a tough season, which included punting in a game two days after his father's death. His teammates voted him as the recipient of the
