The 3rd Asian Indoor Games will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam on November, 2009.

A total of 18 Sports and 206 events are scheduled to be held during the 3rd Asian Indoor Games with inclusion of three new disciplines Indoor Petanque, Womens Defence, Shuttle Cook, Pancak Silat and Vovinam. Jujitsu and Beltwrestling will be the demonstration events for the games. The Coordination Committee has strongly recommended to include Indoor Cycling, E sports and Extreme Sports in the programme of the Games. A total of 12 sports will be held in the City of Hanoi and 6 in the City of Ho Chi Minh.
