John-Paul Langbroek

John-Paul Langbroek

John-Paul Langbroek (born 31 January 1961, Assen, The Netherlands) is an Australian politician. In 2001 he was elected to Queensland state Parliament and is the member for Surfers Paradise for the Liberal Party of Australia. He is the Shadow Minister for Health, and the Secretary of the Parliamentary Liberal Party. There has been speculation within political circles that he may be a potential challenger to the leadership of Bruce Flegg. [http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2007/07/02/1967473.htm?site=brisbane]

Prior to entering politics Langbroek practiced as a dentist for several years having graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons) in 1983 from the University of Queensland.

He is married (to Stacey) and has three children. John-Paul Langbroek is the brother of media personality Kate Langbroek.
