List of Governors of Nevada

This is a list of Governors of Nevada. The only governor of the Nevada Territory was James W. Nye, a Republican who served from 1861 until statehood in 1864.Mark Twain's brother Orion Clemens served as Territorial Secretaryto Nye. Clemen's house on Division Street is still occupied.
