The Anglican Diocese of Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador is one of seven dioceses of the ecclesiastical province of Canada.

History

From 1839-1925 the Diocese included Bermuda as well as Newfoundland.

IIn 1976 the Diocese of Newfoundland was reorganised and three autonomous dioceses were created: Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador, Central Newfoundland, and Western Newfoundland.

• Edward Feild (1801–1876) diocesan from 1844 - 1876.
• James Butler Knill Kelly (1832–1907) diocesan from 1876 - 1877.
• Llewellyn Jones, Bishop of Newfoundland (1840–1918) diocesan from 1878 - 1917.
• William White (1873–1943) diocesan from 1918 - 1942.
• Philip Selwyn Abraham (1897–1955) diocesan from 1942 - 1955.
• John Alfred Meaden diocesan from 1956 - 1965.
• Robert Lowder Seaborn (1911–1993) diocesan from 1965 - 1980.
• William Gordon Legge was suffragan bishop.
• Martin Mate.
• Donald F Harvey.
• Cyrus Pitman is the present diocesan bishop. He was consecrated bishop in 2004 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.
