Jūsō Station

Jūsō Station

nihongo|Jūsō Station|十三駅|Jūsō eki is a station of Hankyu Railway located in Jūsō, Yodogawa-ku, Osaka, Japan. The six-track trunk line from Umeda Station diverges into the three double tracks of the Kobe Line, the Kyoto Line and the Takarazuka Line at this station.

The station opend on March 10, 1910 as a stop of the Takarazuka Line. The Kobe and Kyoto Lines were later constructed.

The surrounding area of the station is an extensive shopping and entertainment district. However, a large number of the users of the station just transfer the trains here and do not exit the station. Several shops and restaurants for transferring passengers are located inside the station facility.

It is reported that there is a plan of an extension of Yotsubashi Line subway from Nishi-Umeda Station to Shin-Osaka Station through Jūsō. [See the references section of for news articles in Japanese.]
