Emad Motaeb (Arabic: _ar. عماد متعب) (born 20 February 1983) is an Egyptian footballer who plays forAl-Ittihad as well as the Egyptian national team.

He was capped for Egypt at the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship, and scored a fascinating goal versus England. He appeared as a member of the first team at the 2006 African Cup of Nations, scoring twice in the last group game against the Ivory Coast and once in the quarter final against the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Motaeb also scored in the 2005 FIFA Club World Championship 5th place playoff against Sydney F.C. in Tokyo, although Sydney won the match 2-1. It was El Ahly's only goal of the tournament.

in 2007 Emad spent two weeks on Teesside whilst trialing for English premier league team Middlesbrough F.C.. Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate decided not to make a bid for the prolific marksmen, Middlesbrough did however sign fellow team mate and trialist Mohamed Shawky.

In the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, Egypt's Coach Hassan Shehata named him as giving the best effort for the team in the tournament.

Some have commented that his combination with Mohamed Aboutrika and Mohamed Barakat formed the most formidable triangle in African Football, and they were given the moniker of "The Bermuda Triangle." The Angolan striker Flavio Amado replaces Barakat sometimes, playing a great role in forming this dangerous triangle. Emad is considered one of the best strikers of his age in Africa.

Moteab was due to become Bristol City's record signing, for a fee of £1.5 million GBP [cite news |url=http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_3827260,00.html |first= |last= |title=City agree record Meteb swoop |work=Sky Sports |date=July 16, 2008 |accessdate=2008-07-16] , and indeed, he had passed the medical and was awaiting a work permit.
