Punching power

Punching power is a term that describes the amount of momentum in a person's punches. Knockout power is a more specific term for the probability of any strike to the head to cause unconsciousness in an opponent (usually referred to as a knockout). Knockout power is related to the impulse delivered and precision of the strike.

Certain fighters are famous for their knockout power. Some examples are: Chuck Liddell, Mirko Crocop, Mark Hunt, Jens Pulver, George Foreman, Ernie Shavers, Gerry Cooney, Vitor Belfort, Max Baer, Sonny Liston, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Mike Tyson, Pedro Rizzo, David Tua, Aleksander Emelianenko, Andrei Arlovski and many others.
