Club career
Rusol is a defender. He started his career with
FC Zirka Kirovohrad in the 1998/99 season. He then transferred toFC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih for the 1999/2000 season. He played for Kryvbas until 2003, when he was transferred toFC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk . He played 117 matches for Dnipro and scored 5 goals. In the 2007-2008 season Andriy finnally became the captain of Dnipro.Many of

Rusol debuted for the
Ukrainian national football team onMarch 31 2004 . Since then he played 35 matches and scored 3 goals (as of June 23, 2006).Rusol scored Ukraine's first ever World Cup finals goal on the 4th minute in the game against Saudi Arabia in the
Fifa World Cup 2006 . Recently he was the captain when Ukraine faced Sweden in Solna and beat them 1-0.Personal life
