Robert J. Lagomarsino

Robert John "Bob" Lagomarsino (b. September 4, 1926) is a former Republican congressman from California. He was elected to the United States House of Representatives in a special election in 1974, replacing Charles M. Teague, who died in office. He was re-elected every two years, until June 1992, when he was defeated for renomination by Michael Huffington. Prior to serving in the House he served in the California State Senate from 1961 until 1974 and prior to that he served on as Mayor of Ojai.

Lagomarsino served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946. He is an alumnus of the University of California, Santa Barbara (1950) and of the Santa Clara University School of Law (1953).

The visitor center at Channel Islands National Park is named after Lagomarsino.
