Debbie King is an English television presenter, and principal of the London School of Modelling, which is presently subject of the ITV2 reality television series Models Misfits and Mayhem. King was one of the original presenters of the late night ITV game show Quizmania, which she also created along with Chuck Thomas and Simone Thorogood.[1]

Early life

King was born in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. She made her debut appearance in film in Pink Floyd’s movie The Wall. After graduating high school with stright A's, King attended Newcastle University where she graduated with a BA Honours degree in History.

Career

In 2003 King began TV presenting as a young reporter, and worked as a researcher and Assistant Producer for Granada TV’s This Morning, Planet 24’s The Big Breakfast, Nickelodeon, The Disney Channel and BBC1’s A Family of My Own. As a young reporter, King was sent to interview leading politicians such as Ken Livingstone and Glenda Jackson.

In March 2007, King opened the digital television station Game in TV. She also presented "whereits.at" and "Talk About" on Sky, "9 Live" on E4, Playzone on Game in TV and ITV's "Celebrity Knickers" with Linda Lusardi and her own 8-part series of "King Of The Road".

In 2008, King began co-presenting an Internet podcast called StudentCooking.TV and she also appeared live on Living TV's Market Kitchen. The show received a Royal Television Society Yorkshire Region Award in 2008 for Best Contribution to New Media[2].

King appeared on the BBC series Mary Queen of Shops (Series 4 Episode 5) and used John Peers as a personal shopper.

In 2009 King set up The London School of Modelling, which trains aspiring models and finds them work. The school has become the subject of the ITV2 reality television series Models Misfits and Mayhem.

Personal life

After meeting him in a London club,[3] former G4 tenor Jonathan Ansell proposed on stage at the end of his final show of A Night at the Opera at the London Palladium on 23 November 2008. The couple married on Sunday 30 August 2009 on the 40th floor of The Gherkin. On 14 May 2010, Ansell announced he and King were expecting their first child.[4] King gave birth at 02:00 on 24 November 2010 to Siena Valentine Ansell.[5]
