Chris Bennett (U.S. photographer)

Chris Bennett is an American indie filmmaker and photographer, as well as the executive director of Portland, Oregon's Newspace Center for Photography.

"For Jonathan"

Bennett produced the film "For Jonathan" a tribute to Bennett's childhood friend Jonathan Hicks (1977–2000), who died of cancer. Proceeds from the project went to Bethesda, Maryland's The Children's Inn, at the National Institutes of Health.

The film's soundtrack featured Tommy Guerrero, The Album Leaf, Tarentel, Wow & Flutter, Unwed Sailor, Early Day Miners and Dave Fischoff.

Bennett also worked with Unwed Sailor and Early Day Miners on another recording, the "Stateless EP" that was released in 2002.
