"Zizhongosaurus" (meaning "Zizhong lizard") is a genus of primitive herbivorous sauropod dinosaur which lived in the Early Jurassic Period of China. It was a large-bellied herbivore characterized by a long neck. "Zizhongosaurus" was named after Zizhong County, Sichuan Province, China, by Dong, Zhou and Zhang, in 1983. The type species is "Z. chuanchengensis". The fragments found were a dorsal vertebrae, a humerus or upper arm, and a pubis.Dong, Z., Zhou, S., Zhang, Y. (1983).
