William Coors

William Coors

William Coors is the grandson of Adolph Coors, the founder of the Coors Brewing Company. William Coors has been affiliated with the company for 64 years, and has been a board member since 1973.

Biographical Information

Mr. Coors was born in Colorado on August 11, 1916, and holds a Bachelors Degree, concentrating in chemical engineering, and Masters Degree from Princeton University.

Racism

Talking to a group of Mexican and African business owners in 1984, he said: "...ancestors were dragged here in chains against their will… I would urge those of you who feel that way to go back to where your ancestors came from, and you will find out that probably the greatest favor that anybody ever did you was to drag your ancestors over here in chains, and I mean it."
