Buffer Zone, Karachi

There are several ethnic groups including Muhajirs, Punjabis, Sindhis, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochis, Memons, Bohras Ismailis, etc. Over 99% of the population is Muslim. The population of North Nazimabad Town is estimated to be nearly one million.

Buffer zone comprises 5 sectors, starting from Sector 15-A/1 to 15-A/5 ("A" stands for the 120 yards houses). It is bordered with peoples circle to "Shafiq Modh" and 'Nagan Chowrangi' to "Sakhi Hasan Roundabout". Buffer Zone makes the large part of Karachi and has a wide population (though it is un-estimated). Population in Buffer Zone are families with the middle class standard. Most people work in the offices and almost all children go to schools. There are many small businesses in Buffer Zone including the famous "Ali Decoration", "Delight Bakers", "Light Bakers", "Cafe Zubaida" and many more.

Famous Places

The most famous and historical place in Buffer zone is 7-C's last stop. "7-C" is a local transportation bus number that claims to be the oldest route of Karachi. Other notable places are "Erum Shopping Emporium" I and II, "Haroon Shopping Centre", "Serena Towers", and "D.C. Office". Serena Towers in Buffer Zone is the second largest mobile market in Asia.
