Troy McHenry Walters (born December 15, 1976 in Bloomington, Indiana) is an American football wide receiver and punt returner for the Detroit Lions in the National Football League. He was originally selected in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL Draft out of Stanford University by the Minnesota Vikings. He has also played for the Indianapolis Colts and the Arizona Cardinals. Walters won the Fred Biletnikoff Award as a senior at Stanford as college football's best wide receiver. Early years

Walters attended A&M Consolidated High School in College Station, Texas and was a good student and a letterman in football, basketball, and track. In football, as a senior, he was a second team All-Greater Houston selection and a third team All-State selection.
