"S Club Party" is a pop song written by Mikkel Eriksen, Hallgeir Rustan and Tor Erik Hermansen for S Club 7's debut album "S Club" (1999). Released in the UK on September 20, 1999, the song was produced and written by Stargate and received a mixed reception from music critics. It was released as the second single in the autumn of 1999 and reached the top spot in New Zealand and Australia. It also reached the top ten in Ireland and the United Kingdom, where it was certified gold.

Song information and music video

, is a song which introduces the audience to the band. Each line of the second verse, describes a different member of S Club 7, for example, "Wanna see Bradley swing?". Each member of the group also has their own "S" shot, where they draw an S in the sky whilst jumping in the air.

On CD1 of the S Club 8 single Fool No More, there was a S Club United version with S Club 7 & S Club 8. This version omits the second verse describing each of S Club 7 and replaces it with the chant, "Ooh, ooh!". This version also features extra adlib vocals by Aaron, Frankie, Jay and Stacey of S Club 8.

The music video was filmed in the Californian desert - in the famous setting of Vasquez Rocks - on the set of the "Back to the 50s" TV special. [cite press release | title= Best: The Greatest Hits of S Club 7 inlay booklet | publisher=Universal Music | date=2003-06-02 | accessdate=2007-10-20] The fifties gang challenge S Club to a race, mirroring the famous race in Grease. The group then sing "S Club Party" and they go on to win the race.

When the group sing the song in the TV movie, "Back to the '50s", it differs slightly from the music video. In the movie version, some scenes were cut out or shortened. In the music video, it shows some clips from the movie and all of S Club have more single shots including Hannah, Jon, and Tina. The music video version also has a different ending, with S Club dancing in front of the camera having fun and dancing in the back of a truck with everyone from the movie dancing around them.
