It changed to WAEZ, playing easy listening and beautiful music, in the late 1960s, and adopted its current rock format as WONE-FM on January 1, 1985 when its owner Group One Broadcasting obtained permission to share the WONE call sign of its sister station WONE (AM) in Dayton.
