Paul Caica

The Honourable Paul Caica BA JP MP, (born 1957), Australian politician, is a member of the South Australian House of Assembly. He represents the electoral district of Colton and is a member of the Australian Labor Party. He is also the current Minister for Industrial Relations, Minister for Employment, Training and Further Education, Minister for Science and Information Economy, Minister for Youth, and Minister for Volunteers.

Paul Caica was elected as the Member for Colton on 9 February 2002. He is from the Labor Left faction. Prior to his election Paul was a Firefighter for almost 20 years then held the full-time position of Secretary of the South Australian United Firefighters Union between 1991 and 1997 and the National Secretary of the United Firefighters Union from 1998-2002 where he represented Firefighters on a national basis.

At the 2007 World Police and Fire Fighter Games in Adelaide, Paul won two gold medals for Angling (Fishing). Paul is married with two sons.
