Dennis Beyak

Dennis Beyak

Dennis Beyak is a Canadian media personality from Manitoba.

After waiting for his opportunity, Beyak quickly ascended the ranks of play-by-play broadcasters working in the National Hockey League. Beyak's first NHL broadcasting job was at CFRN-TV, as the TV play-by-play voice of the Edmonton Oilers. Beyak held the position for two seasons from 1995 to 1997, when CFRN lost the local TV contract to the newly formed A-Channel.

Since 1998[citation needed] he has been the Toronto Maple Leafs play-by-play announcer for AM640 Toronto Radio[1] (with Jim Ralph). Since 2005 he has also been the television play-by-play announcer for the Toronto Marlies. [2] Starting with the 2011-12 season, Beyak will return to TSN and will also become the new voice of the Winnipeg Jets. He will be doing play-by-play during regional TSN broadcasts of the Jets and will move into the radio chair when the games are nationally televised.
