Hare (Monster Rancher character)

Hare (Monster Rancher character)

Hare (Ham in Japanese) is a character from the popular "Monster Rancher" franchise. He joined the cast of the anime series in Episode 6: Hare's Trick.

Personality/Appearance

Hare is very popular in Japan, especially with girls because of his cute appearance and his cute attacks, such as his flatulent Gas (Fart in Japanese) attack.

At first, Hare was exploiting the group. In "Hare's Trick" after Hare won the tournament, he acted like their friend, but then early in the morning, he ran off with both his prize money, and Tiger's. This infuriates the group and they track him down. Hare reluctantly surrenders Tiger's money and joins them officially. Hare does not do such cruel acts again.

Hare and Tiger constantly argue. Normally the argument is started because Hare is bored and wants to be entertained. He often insults Tiger's low intelligence during the fights. He also makes lots of insults based on Tiger's past, which greatly angers Tiger. For some reason, Hare likes bothering Tiger. He also sometimes Farts just to annoy Tiger. However, in the episode, "The Mango Farm," after the members went their separate ways, Hare taught Tiger his attack, Fart. Tiger used this attack to save the group.

Hare is the "brains of the bunch." He always plans the attacks. However, despite his intelligence he is also lazy. An example of his laziness is the fact that he always tries to get people to do work for him. His fighting style revolves around boxing and flatulence.

Attacks

Hare has many attacks. They Include:

1-2 punch - An attack where Hare punches the target twice.

Back Blow - An attack where Hare hits the back of his target.

Gas /Foul Gas /Stinking Gas (in Japanese, Fart, Super Releasing Fart, and Large Releasing Fart) - One of Hare's most useful attacks. Hare turns around, sticks his butt toward his enemy, and farts. The smell of the flatus that it produces smells bad. So bad, in fact, that it can stun people, or even knock them out as seen in Hare's Trick, when Hare farted and knocked out not only the Tiger he was fighting, but also the members of the audience. In BattleCard, Hare's Gas attack injures all his opponents.

Punching

This makes up most of the Hare's attacks. He generally uses these the most. When he punches, he does lots of damage. This is his most basic skill. Close ranged.

Kicking

Hare doesn't have many kicks. He uses them mostly to use an attack with punching. Close ranged.

Gas/Fart

This is another useful skill to Hare. He generally uses this attack a lot. He used it since he first appeared in the anime. In the anime, Hare used this attack second on Tiger. Hare usually grins when he uses this attack, then turns around. He bends at the waist, causing his rear to be closer to the opponent. He then undergoes flatulence, causing the enemy to be hurt/stunned, or even knocked out like in Hare's Trick. In Japan, the move is known as "Fart." Medium ranged.

Fighting Style

When Hare got in a fight with Tiger the first time, this is what he did. First, he acted scared so Tiger would go easy on him. Next, he punched Tiger hard when he least expected it, causing him to be sent flying. Last, when Tiger tried to rush back and charge, Hare turned around, clutched his fists, grinned, and unleashed Gas, which knocked Tiger and most of the audience out.
