"A Fine Night for Dying" is a 1969 novel by Jack Higgins originally published under the pseudonyms Martin J Fallon). Set on the high seas, it is a new adventure for super-spy Paul Chavasse.

Plot summary

The nets of a local fishing boat drag out a body from the waters of the English Channel . After being weighted down by chain for weeks, there was little left of the gangster Harvey Preston. What was left was stomach churning for Paul Chavasse.
