IPA2|pɐɾ.'ti.ðu ʁɛ.pu.βli.'kɐ.nu puɾ.tu.'ɣeʃ) was a Portuguese political party formed during the late years of monarchy that proposed and conducted the substitution of the Constitutional Monarchy by the Portuguese First Republic.

When the Republic was established in October 5 1910, the members of the party initially stood together, but a few years later began dividing themselves into multiple parties like the Democratic Party, Republican Party of the Democratic Leftwing, Reformist Party, Republican Union Party (Unionist Party/Republican Union), Evolutionist Republican Party, Centrist Republican Party, Popular Party, Radical Party, Liberal Republican Party, Liberal Republican Union, National Reconstitution Republican Party and Nationalist Republican Party.
