List of Muhajirs in Pakistan

The term panahgir means shelter taker. The peoples referred here are refugees of India. The term is used for them or their parents or even their grandparents who actually migrated. The name Muhajir is also used Politically for them in Pakistan. In Sindh, they are mostly Urdu and Gujrati speaking while in rural Punjab, the term Muhajir is still used for those whose elders or themselves has migrated from East Punjab.
