PKP Intercity is a company of PKP Group responsible for long distanced passenger transport. The general standard of Intercity, Eurocity, express and EuroNight trains serviced by the company is higher than the one offered by PKP Przewozy Regionalne.

PKP Intercity runs about 170 trains daily, connecting mainly large aglomerations and servicing international trains.

History

The company was founded after dividing Polskie Koleje Państwowe (national rail operator) into several dozen companies to meet European Union Standards.
