List of Test cricket grounds

List of Test cricket grounds
The first Test cricket match was played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) situated in Yarra Park, Melbourne, Australia, in 1877.

This is a list of Test cricket grounds. Since the first cricket Test match in Australia in 1877, 105 grounds have hosted Test cricket. The grounds are listed by country, with the countries listed in the order in which they first hosted a Test match and the grounds in each country listed in the order in which they were first used as a venue for Test cricket. On March 1877, Australia and England played against each other and it became the first official Test match in cricket. 5 day matches between non-Test playing countries are therefore not considered a proper Test match. Also, this excludes World Series Cricket and South African rebel tours venues. On 8 July 2009, the SWALEC Stadium (previously known as Sophia Gardens) in Cardiff became the 100th test venue.[1][2]
