William Luther Hill (October 17, 1873 - January 5, 1951) a US Senator from Florida, serving as a Democrat in 1936.

Born in Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida; attended private and public schools and the East Florida Seminary at Gainesville, Fla.; engaged in banking and insurance; graduated from the law college of the University of Florida at Gainesville in 1914; admitted to the bar the same year and commenced practice in Gainesville, Fla.; secretary to United States Senator Duncan U. Fletcher 1917-1936, and also served as clerk to the Senate Committee on Commerce 1917-1921 and to the Senate Committee on Banking and Currency 1933-1936; appointed on July 1, 1936, as a Democrat to the United States Senate to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Fletcher and served from July 1, 1936, to November 3, 1936, when a successor was elected; was not a candidate for election to fill this vacancy; resumed the practice of law until his retirement in 1947; died in Gainesville; interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
