Environment Agency Wales

Environment Agency Wales

Environment Agency Wales is an Assembly Sponsored Public Body. It is that part of the Environment Agency that covers an area corresponding approximately to Wales. The Regional divisions of the Environment Agency are based on the concept of catchment management and administrative boundaries therefore follow the watersheds of major rivers. In the case of Environment Agency Wales, the boundary is determined by the eastern watersheds of the eastern-most tributaries (where appropriate) of the River Dee, the headwaters of the River Rheidol, River Dyfi, River Tywi and then the River Wye.

The Regional Director of Environment Agency Wales is Chris Mills.

The principal office is in Cardiff with Area and District offices in Llandarcy, Haverfordwest, Lampeter, Bangor, Rhuddlan, Bala and Buckley

One of the specialist teams based in Environment Agency Wales is concerned with air quality and air quality modelling.
