Bank Street Writer

Bank Street Writer

Bank Street Writer was a word processor for Apple II, Atari 8-bit, Commodore, Macintosh, and IBM PC computers. Apparently written by Kuzmiak & The Bank Street College of Education, and released by Broderbund software.

The Apple II version operated in graphics mode, with a graphical character set to display lowercase letters, instead of using the native text mode that only included uppercase letters on the original Apple II and Apple II Plus. Although initially popular with schools, the program was soon superseded by more advanced word processors such as WordPerfect and Microsoft Word.
