Scum of the Earth is a heavy metal band. They have produced two albums.

The band formed in 2003 when Rob Zombie set aside his music career, focusing on writing and directing movies. During this time, Mike Riggs and John Tempesta formed Scum of the Earth.

* The song "Bloodsukin Freakshow" features Riggs' son Gaige on backing vocals throughout the song. (I see the devil..I see the devil...etc)
* The other backing vocals on the aforementioned track (Oooh..the devil wants me..etc) was a drunk groupie that showed up at Riggs' house with a friend.
* The song "Give Up Your Ghost" is about, or at least inspired by, the recent loss of Riggs's grandfather.
* The song "Pornstar Champion" prominently features several samples of the famous Queen song "We Will Rock You".
* The music video for "Get Your Dead On" features parts of and is part of an upcoming short movie release.
* The beginning and ending clips for "The Murder Song" is from the 1974 movie "Deranged".
* Chicago "Electro-Metal" artist LadyParasyte was the one responsible for getting Scum of the Earth signed to Eclipse Records.
* A season one episode of WKRP in Cincinnati, "Hoodlum Rock", features a punk band called 'Scum of the Earth'.
* The film "Devil Girl" features many tracks from Scum Of The Earth; including "Get You Dead On", "Bloodsuckin Freakshow", "Beneath The Living", and "Nothing Girl".
