The company floated on the Stock Exchange in 1992, and was acquired by JJB Sports in 2000 ahead of a £56m buyout backed by PPM Capital in 2002. Fergus Patterson is the Retail Operations Director (ex Barclays, WHSmith and the Burton Group), Muriel Stirling, Marketing Director (WHSmith, IMP, Whitbread and Gillette), and Clare Quinn, HR Director (ex Royal Doulton and Matalan). They join with Richard Foggin, Property Director and Chris McKeown Logistics Director to make up the new Management Executive.
