Richard Melville Ballerand is a tri-national international policy adviser and multiple charity trustee, formerly senior partner at Dorrington Associates, a low-key policy advisory group and thinktank. He originally worked in investment banking in New York, has served as a military liaison officer worldwide, and was also a consultant to the DTI.

Currently, close family members are scattered from Hong Kong to Hawaii, and from Cape Town to Kuwait, with most based between the United States and France.
