Dr Andrew McKay (born 14 July 1970) is a former Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League.

He made his debut in 1993 with Carlton and immediately set about exhibiting the outstanding defensive skills that saw him named on the half-back flank in the All-Australian team four times.

Late in his career, McKay took up veterinary science, studying at the University of Queensland and training with the University of Queensland Australian Football Club whilst commuting to Melbourne to play with Carlton.

2003, which turned out to be McKay's last year, was probably his most eventful. With his team struggling, McKay stepped up to the captaincy following the retirement of Brett Ratten, and also won the Robert Reynolds Trophy.

McKay is now a practising veterinarian as well as Chairman of the AFL Match Review Panel.
