Yorkshire Main F.C.

Yorkshire Main F.C.

Yorkshire Main Football Club is a football club based in Edlington, South Yorkshire, England.

Established in the 1920s as Edlington Rangers, the club was renamed Yorkshire Main Colliery F.C. in 1979. When the colliery was closed in 1986, they became Yorkshire Main F.C.

After spending the majority of their early years in the Doncaster Senior League and the Sheffield County Senior League, they joined the Northern Counties East Football League Division Two South in 1983. They spent eight seasons in this league, during which they played their only season in the FA Vase, winning two qualifying rounds before being eliminated in the first round proper.

The club dropped out of the Northern Counties East League in 1991, rejoining the Sheffield County Senior League before moving back up the football pyramid in 1998 when they were accepted as members of the Central Midlands League. Since joining the league, they have spent all their time in the league's lower division, known as the Premier Division, never finishing in the top half of the table.

For the 2008-09 season, they are members of the Central Midlands Football League Supreme Division.
