The Amelia Earhart Park is a recreation area owned by Miami-Dade Parks and Recreation. It is located just north of Hialeah in Miami-Dade County in the U.S. state of Florida. It offers a number of recreational attractions like bike trails, skateboarding, and fishing.

Attractions

Bike Trails

The park houses one of South Florida's top bike trails for riders of all skill levels. Shaded by pines, the 4 to convert|6|mi|km|sing=on trails gives riders a sandy, muddy, as well as rocky ride. It includes both, Single-Track and Fire Road trails with a number of climbs, drops, and allows for high speeds around the lakes.

During the 2005 Hurricane Wilma, many large trees were knocked into many of the trails as well as many other parts of the park. The trails were opened soon thereafter.

Farm village

The park's Bill Graham Farm Village is a popular attraction where you revisit Miami-Dade County's agricultural past . The farm replica features a demonstration shed where visitors can watch horseshoeing, cow-milking, livestock judging and sheep shearing, as well as a petting zoo, exhibit hall, sugar cane press and pony ring. There's also an air-conditioned country store and an Insect museum.

Dog park

Added around late-2002, Bark Park is a completely fenced convert|5|acre|m2|sing=on dog park that offers a separate section for smaller dogs among other treats. Amenities include paved walkways, benches, shade trees, waste dispenser stations, and custom drinking and spray fountains for dogs and their owners.

The skate park was destroyed during hurricane wilma 2005.

Disc Golf

The park is also home to a 18 hole Disc golf course which was heavily damaged from hurricane Wilma 2005 and has been redesigned and completed, tight forest and water holes prevail at this site. The World Disc Golf Championships were held in this park in 2001.
