Iburi Subprefecture

nihongo|Iburi|胆振支庁|Iburi-shichō is a subprefecture of Hokkaidō, Japan.

Geography

Located in south-central Hokkaido, Iburi stretches convert|152|km|mi East-West and convert|98|km|mi North-South. Iburi covers an area of convert|9698|km2|sqmi. Iburi borders Oshima subprefecture to the West, Shiribeshi, Ishikari, and Sorachi subprefectures to the North, and Hidaka subprefecture to the East.
