"Ashes of Eden" is a Star Trek novel ghost-written for William Shatner by Judith Reeves-Stevens, and Garfield Reeves-Stevens as part of the "Shatnerverse" series of novels. This is Shatner's first Trek collaboration.

Plot summary

The story is set six months prior to the death of James T. Kirk, as shown in "Star Trek Generations". While coping with retirement on Earth, Kirk meets a young and seductive Klingon/Romulan woman named Teilani. Her planet is being threatened due to its fountain of youth properties. Kirk and the rest of the Enterprise crew team up to make an attempt at saving her planet from destruction.
