List of higher education institutions in Hong Kong

The following is a list of higher education institutions in Hong Kong. In this list, those labeled "University", "College", "Post-secondary College" and "Vocational Training Council Institution" are those educational insititutes which satisfy the concerned requirements stated in the law of Hong Kong. See Higher education in Hong Kong.

It should be noted that only "University" and "College" ("Hong Kong Institute of Education" and "The Hong Kong Academy For Performing Arts") are eligible to award Bachelor's Degree or above in Hong Kong.

Moreover, "General Institutes" formed under the Education Ordinance (Cap. 279), which are also part of the higher education, are not included in this article.

Government-Funded University

NOTE: Hong Kong Institute of Education is the only government-funded degree-granting non-university institution. It is granted the Self-Accreditation status in 2004 and has been striving for a university-status for years.
