"Rock Sound" is a British magazine which champions alternative music. The magazine aims at being more "underground" and less commercial. It covers new music including Mastodon, Modest Mouse, Slayer, and Sigur Rós.

History

The UK edition of "Rock Sound" (also known as "ROCKSOUND")Fact|date=July 2008 was launched in March 1999 by the French publisher Editions Freeway, who had already published the title in France. It managed to establish itself in a very competitive market and was bought out by its director, Patrick Napier, in December 2004.

Circulation

"Rock Sound" has an ABC of 23,260.Fact|date=July 2008 It is available on newsstands throughout the world.
