Ryōtsu, Niigata

Ryōtsu (両津市; -shi) was a city located in Niigata Prefecture, Japan.

In the year 2003, the city had an estimated population of 16,710 and a density of 71.60 persons per km². The total area was 233.37 km².

The city was founded on November 3, 1954. It merged with the rest of Sado Island to form Sado City on March 1, 2004.

Ryotsu the DuckCreators - Vir Handa, Zain Refaqat Sieyd

Ryotsu the duck is a fictional character created in may 2008. Its features include a large beak in comparison to its minute body and two short straight legs rounded at the bottom. Ryotsu was initialy created as a peace slogan agains terrorism kashmir but later modified by creative director Zain Refaqat Sieyd into a comic figure.

ryotsu has appeared in various forms including a patriot, a female dancer, a tsu-nami, a ghost also called ryots-boo and as A-TREE.
