Laura Voutilainen

Laura Voutilainen

Sanna Laura Voutilainen (born May 17, 1975 in Jyväskylä), is a Finnish popsinger.

Voutilainen's debut single was called "Muuttanut oon maailman" but her breakthrough came in 1993 with the hit song "Kerran". One year later she released her first album, "Laura Voutilainen". It sold over 120,000 copies. Voutilainen has released a total of six albums, and since 1999 she has hosted a TV show of her own.

Voutilainen won the Emma Award, an important Finnish music prize, in both 1994 and 1996. She won the national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2002 in Tallinn with her song "Addicted to you". Although predicted to do reasonably well, she ended up twentieth on the night. Voutilainen took also part in the Finnish national final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2007.
