Now That's What I Call Music (album) (U.K. series)

"Now That's What I Call Music" or "Now" was released in 1983. It was the very first "Now That's What I Call Music" album to be released, and went on to spawn a large number of further "Now!" albums in the UK, and later in other countries. Becoming one of the biggest albums of the year, it became one of only a few compilation albums to reach #1 on the UK album chart, staying there for four consecutive weeks and five in all. It also went 3x platinum, selling over 900,000 copies.

The album was originally released on vinyl and cassette, but in November 2008 it will be given a CD release for the first time, as part of the 25th anniversary celebrations of the series' inception.
