Route 1 (Prince Edward Island)

Route 1 is the Prince Edward Island section of the Trans-Canada Highway and has a total distance of 111 km (70 miles).

Route 1 traverses the southern shore of Prince Edward Island and is an uncontrolled access 2-lane secondary highway with a maximum speed limit of 90 km/h (55 mph).

Route 1 passes through:

* Borden-Carleton (the highway's western terminus is at the Confederation Bridge toll booth)
* Albany (interchange with Route 1A)
* Crapaud
* Bonshaw
* Cornwall
* Charlottetown
** Route 1 passes through Charlottetown using the Upton Road and Charlottetown Arterial Highway (a controlled access 2-lane highway) and Riverside Drive.
* Stratford
* Vernon Bridge
* Belfast
* Wood Islands (the highway's eastern terminus is at the Northumberland Ferries toll booth)
