"Love Machine" was the sixth single by pop group Girls Aloud, and the second to be taken from their second album "What Will the Neighbours Say?". The single was released on 13 September, 2004. In December 2006, it was claimed by a Nokia report to be the second most 'exhilarating' song ever, after Song 2 by Blur. Release and reception

An early demo of "Love Machine" was included on the Popjustice compilation album ; this version was sung by Cheryl Cole and Nadine Coyle and features radically different lyrics from the released versions, even excluding the phrase "Love Machine".Fact|date=February 2008

On the Chemistry Tour just before the second chorus of the song, there was an interlude. The girls sang "1 Thing" by Amerie. After the interlude the girls carried on from where they left off in the song. There was a similar interlude on , where a big band breakdown was included, in which Cheryl disrupted the routine by taking a swig of champagne.

The song has become one of their most popular singles, and was well received by critics. The Guardian called the song a "perfect example of Xenomania's uniquely rousing approach to pop." They also added that "it sounds so unlike anything else in the charts right now...proving once again that they're still one of the most exciting bands in pop right now." Music video

The video for "Love Machine" takes place in the fictitious Eskimo Club, a nightclub which the band members, dressed for a night on the town, enter.

Though Cheryl initially sets her eye on a musician at the club, the girls make their way to a table. However, they are soon distracted by the men in the Eskimo Club and the tricks they pull to try to get the girls' attention.

In a separate setting of a dark background and flashing lights, the girls begin to dance, and eventually they release their inhibitions and begin dancing in the Eskimo Club as well. At the end of the video the girls walk out of the club tired and barefoot.
