Anglo European School is a self-governing, co-educational state school situated in Ingatestone, Essex. It is a school for boys and girls of all abilities, with 1306 students aged 11 to 19. It was the first state school in Britain to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma and the first to become a Language College. The school offers opportunities to travel abroad, often on exchanges and learn many languages such as French, German, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Italian, Chinese and Latin.

There are two headteachers, Jill Martin and David Barrs, who run the school together. Mr Barrs teaches Geography, and Mrs Martin teaches History.

In the school (excluding the Sixth Form) there are eight forms in each year with the following names:

Student transport

As of September 2008, there are six bus routes operating to and from the Anglo European School, all of which are operated by First Essex or NIBS.

2 - Wickford via Ramsden Heath and Billericay (Mornings only) (NIBS).

50 - Basildon via Billericay (NIBS).

67 - Burnham-on-Crouch via Stock, Danbury, Latchingdon and Maldon (NIBS).

618 - Ongar via Blackmore

619 - Debden via Loughton

620 - Epping

Otherwise, students can use train services operated by National Express East Anglia that stop at Ingatestone Station. Apart from the destinations between London Liverpool Street, Colchester, Ipswich and Braintree, students can change at Shenfield if using the Southend Victoria Line, the Shenfield metro or the Crouch Valley Line, or change at Chelmsford if using the Clacton Line.
