The Max M. Fisher College of Business is the business school of The Ohio State University. Fisher's campus is located on the northern part of The Ohio State University, within a partially enclosed business campus adjacent to Ohio Stadium. It is composed of brick buildings loosely arranged in a quadrangle.The 370,000-square-foot (34,000 m2) complex is the largest multi-building project ever undertaken by the University. Fisher is one of the founding members of the AACSB.
By design, Fisher College accepts about 150 Master of Business Administration (MBA) students each year.[1] Currently, there are 4,747 full-time undergraduates.[1] Established in 1916, the school was renamed in 1993 for Max M. Fisher, a 1930 Ohio State graduate who provided a substantial amount[quantify] to the school.

The Fisher College of Business is located in Columbus, Ohio, the largest city in Ohio and among the top 15 largest cities in the United States with an estimated 2005 population of 730,657.[3] The greater Columbus metropolitan area has a population of 1,708,625 as of 2005[4] represents close to 100 nationalities. Columbus is located close to the geographic center of the state and is the fourth largest city in the Midwest.

Faculty
Fisher’s academically rigorous, teamwork-oriented MBA program enables a high level of interaction with faculty, with a student–faculty ratio of 3:1. The faculty is lead by dean Christine Poon, a former business executive who does not hold a doctorate degree.

Admissions
Full-Time MBA Students of the Fisher College generally have 3–4 years of work experience, academically strong, and score high on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). The average GMAT is around 674 with 80% of the class scoring between 600 to 730. The average age of the recently admitted applicants is 27 years old. More than a third are from overseas, one in three are women, and one in seven is a minority. The Working Professionals class profile closely resembles the full-time profile with students having on average two additional years of professional experience.

The six-building campus (designed by Kallmann, McKinnell & Wood, Cooper, Robertson & Partners with Karlsberger Architecture as Architect of Record) is oriented around its largest building, the signature Fisher Hall, which is the same height as the main university library and on axis with it. This visually links the college to the larger OSU campus. The organization of undergraduate buildings, graduate study, and administration cluster around a traditional campus green that encourages social mixing of different student bodies and faculty. The brick architecture reinterprets the Neo-Classical tradition found throughout OSU. Cooper, Robertson & Partners designed both Fisher Hall and Pfahl Hall, the executive education building. Kallmann, McKinnell & Wood designed Gerlach Hall, Schoenbaum Hall and Mason Hall. RTKL was hired as the hospitality consultant for the Blackwell Inn. Karlsberger completed all design documents and served as construction administrator for the entire complex.
Student organizations & activities
Fisher's students have the opportunity to get involved in a variety of organizations. In addition to the hundreds of student clubs available through the University, Fisher also sponsors the Finance Club, Real Estate Club, the International Club, the Club for Women in Business, the Marketing Organization, the Partner’s Club, or more specialized clubs such as the Golf Club. Fisher Serves is a student run organization that engages in community service activities such as charity fund raising activities and uses its members skills to offer pro-bono consulting to local businesses or serve on the board of non-profit organizations.
The American Accounting Association's Hall of Fame was established at Fisher in 1950 to honor those who in some way distinguished themselves in the field. An international board of accountants nominate and select new members annually to add to the 78 inducted members. Current Ohio State University faculty are prohibited from nomination.[13]
Expenses
Among the Top 25 MBA programs in the United States, Fisher's tuition falls in the bottom half. Scholarships and graduate assistantships are available as well. More than 60 percent of each entering class receives some form of financial package. Packages vary in size, and can range from $1,000 to a fellowship with full tuition waivers as well as a monthly stipend. In addition to merit based funding, there are also financial aid sources available through the university.
Career Services & Placement
Students have numerous opportunities to meet corporate executives and to network with Fisher College’s alumni base of more than 60,000 world-wide, many of whom are renowned business leaders. With more than 300 companies coming to campus to recruit, the Office of Career Services actively partners with students. Students have access to a career advisor and coach, trained and ready to support students in their job search. The Office of Career Management provides FisherConnect for students and employers. FisherConnect is an online hub for posting resumes, viewing and scheduling interviews, viewing career fair information, and keeping up to date with all Career Services has to offer. Over 12 percent of students have accepted a job offer within only three months of graduation.[citation needed]
