Pete Winslow (
1934 -1972 ) was asurrealist poet associated with theBeat Generation .He was born on
19 October 1934 in Washington state. He died in September1972 of complications following surgery and was survived by his wifeJane Winslow and son, Peter Winslow, who died in a car accident in 1993.He graduated from the
University of Washington in journalism in1956 .His last book, "Daisy in the Memory of a Shark", was published posthumously by
